ACROBATIC COURSES IN FOREST

The site of Le Salon du Capucin is situated in 3 km at the exit of Le Mont-Dore on the road of La Tour d’Auvergne. The access is possible with a vehicle (car park of approximately 100 places: automobiles and buses) either by the Funiculaire du Capucin, 800 m of route, and 200 m of made uneven, or on foot by the Chemin des Mille Gouttes (30 mn approximately).

The adventure park is implanted in a forest of more than hundred years and uses of this fact trees only. The major tree-dwelling essence is the fir tree, with a complement of beech and spruce, a nature trail of the forest and its exploitation in the Massif Central is in place.

The concept is simple and uses the techniques of safety of the climbing, Via Ferrata, and caving. The movement of the users is made from a tree to the other one through various games (150 approximately) bridges, of cables, woods, ropes, nets or by jumps from a platform to the other one and by Tyrolean of different lengths (about fifteen from 30 to 150 m of length). The safety is guaranteed by one permanent hang on the life line (cable inserted around trees).

Courses are accessible for kids and adults, from 3 years old without maximum age limit, and for 3 hours of activity. Hundred games are in place and everybody will find on the ten courses that or those adapted to his/her taste of the adventure :

• A compulsory explanatory course which permits you to acclimatize to the environment and especially which permits us to check your knowledge of this environment
• A "children" course accessible from 3-years old and watched from the ground by a relative
• Three "green" courses accessible to all from 6-years old (which one junior tyrolean course)
• Two "blue" courses, here the difficulty increases
• A "blue" tyrolean course of average difficulty but very funny
• A "red" course, the height and the impression becomes more marked
• A "black" course, it is the meeting of the sportsmen and the braves
• A "super black" course for a max of sensations.

The team of Mont-Dore Aventures is capable of proposing secondary spot activities or outside of the Mont-Dore (climbing, Via Ferrata, canyonning, orientation circuits), the supervision being assured by Patents of State.
